With the Justice League film coming to theaters in late 2017, many fans of the superhero group reminisce about the 2001 Justice League cartoon that once graced television screens. Those fans are in luck because Cartoon Network revealed today that the team is coming back in a new series called Justice League Action.
The new animated series will consist of 11-minute episodes, following the format of the successful Teen Titans Go! Each episode will jump right into the action and have the heroes defending Earth from an assortment of villains. This is the first DC Comics franchise to launch on the network since Teen Titans Go!
Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman on Batman: The Animated Series, will return to provide the voice for the Dark Knight. Additional cast includes Mark Hamill returning as the Joker, James Woods as Lex Luthor, and Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold.
At this point, no release date for Justice League Action has been announced.
