A production team involved in Star Wars: The Force Awakens have been issued criminal charges by the British government following Harrison Ford’s accident on the Millennium Falcon.
According to Variety, Disney subsidiary Foodles Production has been charged with four workplace health and safety violations. “By law, employers must take reasonable steps to protect workers — this is as true on a film set as a factory floor,” a statement from the Health and Safety Executive said.
A spokesperson from Foodles Production has since responded, saying: “Cast and crew safety is always a top priority. We provided full cooperation during HSE’s investigation into the on-set accident that occurred in June 2014 and are disappointed in HSE’s decision.”
