Sony’s PlayStation 4 led hardware and software sales last month in the United States, according to the NPD Group.
In a statement, Sony also noted PlayStation 4 saw year-over-year growth in hardware and software sales. “We appreciate the support and will continue to deliver on our promise to bring the best entertainment experiences to gamers,” the company said.
PlayStation 4 also topped the console charts for 2015 as a whole, with lifetime sales for the Sony system sitting at roughly 36 million units. The last time Microsoft’s Xbox One hit No. 1 in hardware sales was in October.
