Ubisoft has confirmed the follow-up to Watch Dogs will be releasing before the end of its 2017 fiscal year.
Since the company reports its annual results in April, the sequel will be coming out sometime before, as Ubisoft mentioned in its earnings release today in the lead-up to its call with investors.
“Ubisoft will launch a very high-quality line-up,” it stated in its release, mentioning “the next installment of Watch Dogs” along with a “new high-potential AAA brand with strong digital live services.”
In the same release, Ubisoft made clear it won’t release a new Assassin’s Creed this year. Ubisoft said the decision is based on a slower than expected launch for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate last October.
