Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has never won an Oscar. He’s nominated again this year for The Revenant, and while the awards show is still a few weeks away, you can help him win in a new Flash game right now.
“Hi I’m Leonardo DiCaprio and I really need to win the Oscar. Let’s do this!” reads the text when you boot up the silly side-scrolling game, which is called “Leo’s Red Carpet Rampage” (via Game Informer).
In the game, you sprint down the red carpet, leaping over the paparazzi and taking on all sorts of challenges in an attempt to finally obtain an Oscar. There are a number of silly mini-games, one of which is called “quaalude overdose” and involves you crawling to your car while under the influence of the drug, a reference to DiCaprio’s role as Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street.
Another mini-game tasks you to “act harder, while another involves finding the black nominee from a lineup, but you can’t win this because there are none this year. Additionally, you can race against other Oscar-nominated actors including Bryan Cranston (Trumbo), Matt Damon (The Martian), and Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl), among others.
Also, throughout your red carpet travels, you can collect Emmy Awards and Golden Globes (as many as you can grab), but getting your hands on the Oscar is more challenging. We played it for a bit today but never managed to get a golden statue. Maybe real-world DiCaprio will have better luck.
The 88th Academy Awards take place Sunday, February 28. You can see all of the nominees here, while we’ll have a full list of winners after the show wraps up.
