Twitch is bringing back its TwitchCon community event for a second year. The second-ever TwitchCon will be held September 30-October 2 at the San Diego Convention Center, the site of Comic-Con. Last year’s inaugural show, which 20,000 people attended, was held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
This year’s show, TwitchCon 2016, will basically follow the same format as last year’s, though Twitch CEO Emmett Shear teased that the company is planning some “all new experiences.”
“Our amazing and passionate community of broadcasters, developers, and fans made the first TwitchCon a massive success,” Twitch CEO Emmett Shear said in a statement. “This year, we will be expanding our footprint and building all new experiences to ensure TwitchCon 2016 is even more compelling.”
Further details on TwitchCon 2016 programming, including a schedule of events, will be announced in the months ahead. Last year, two-day passes sold for $85, though pricing for this year’s event has not yet been announced.
