When Sarah Paulson met Marcia Clark for the first time, she recalls it was like “meeting God.”
She had done as much research as she could to learn the ins and outs of the real-life woman she is playing on The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, even going as far as to find out the perfume Clark wore. So when it came time to meet the prosecutor on the O.J. Simpson murder trial in person, she felt like she was meeting someone she idolized since she was a small child.
“It was a very geeky, geeky, geeky fangirl moment that I had,” Paulson told me with a smile while sitting down at a People v. O.J. Simpson press event.
