The Newsroom and West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin is working with NBC on a live version of A Few Good Men.
Sorkin, who wrote the play and penned the film script for A Few Good Men, will write this TV adaption and executive-produce. NBC is planning to air the live version of the courtroom drama in 2017, with casting info to come later.
A Few Good Men premiered as a Broadway play in 1989, but it’s most memorable to people as the Oscar-nominated film starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore.
The live TV version is based on the Broadway play, following Lt. Daniel Kaffee as he defends three Marines in court who are charged with murder.
NBC is making A Few Good Men the first live drama event for the network, following in the footsteps of The Sound of Music Live, Peter Pan Live and The Wiz Live.
