Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is retiring from the superhero scene.
Speaking with BBC, Zimmer explained that he’s spent a lot of time with superhero films and he’s ready to move on. “I did Batman Begins with Chris
12 years ago, so The Dark Knight Trilogy might be three movies to you, to me it was 11 years of my life,” he said.
Since then, Zimmer also has scored Man of Steel and the recently released Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. With the latter, Zimmer admitted it “was very hard for me to do, to try to find new language.”
