Actress Daisy Ridley, who plays the fan-favorite main character Rey in Disney’s new Star Wars trilogy, has posted a new behind-the-scenes video showing off her mighty Lightsaber skills.
The video below is presumably from Ridley’s training sessions for Episode VIII, which is currently filming. Liang Yang, a Chinese stunt performer working on the film, shot the video and makes an appearance at the end. He also has done stunts for Skyfall, Game of Thrones, and The Martian.
“Our stunt team are the most incredible group of people; so lucky I get to train with them!” Ridley said.
You may notice in the video that Ridley mainly controls the sword with her right hand, which might be because she cannot put much weight on her left wrist due to an injury.
Episode VIII opens in December 2018. You won’t have to wait that long to see a new Star Wars movie, however, as Rogue One comes out later this year. The first trailer for that movie was recently released and can be seen here.
