After a string of leaks, Warner Bros. today officially announced that remastered versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City are coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The games arrive on July 26 through the Batman: Return to Arkham bundle, which will cost $50.
The first trailer has also been released, showcasing the new graphics and more. Take a look:
The original games were powered by the Unreal Engine 3 (as was Batman: Arkham Knight), but the remasters were made using Unreal Engine 4, representing a first for the series.
Development duties were handed to Chinese company Virtuous, which also co-developed Heavy Rain’s PS4 version and contributed to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Additionally, the company created assets for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
