Twin Peaks creator David Lynch is targeting a spring 2017 release for Showtime’s revival, network boss David Nevins said.
During a conference call with press, Nevins reported the show’s production has wrapped. According to Variety, Lynch is “now in the editing room.”
Twin Peaks is expected to return as a limited series, continuing the story twenty-five years after the original series ended. Each episode is directed by David Lynch, and written with his original series’ co-creator Mark Frost. Twin Peaks originally aired from 1990 to 1991, and followed FBI agent Dale Cooper as he investigated the eerie circumstances surrounding a local woman’s death.
