Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green loves to win–and that’s why he stopped playing video games. He told the OC Register that he used to play video games, but had to stop because he wasn’t good enough.
“Anything I do, I’m trying to win,” he said. “I’ve always been the same way. That’s me. I stopped playing video games because I hate losing. I wasn’t very good, so I stopped.”
Also in the piece, Warriors forward Harrison Barnes spoke more generally about Green’s intensity level. “I think the ‘off’ switch was broken a long time ago,” he said. “We’ve given up on trying to find it.”
Green played out of his mind on Sunday night, scoring 28 points (including shooting 5-8 from behind the arc) to help lift the Warriors to a 110-77 Game 2 victory over the Cavaliers at home. Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8, in Cleveland.
