A remastered version of 2011’s Bulletstorm seems to be confirmed, but the way it was announced is anything but traditional. Included on a USB drive given to media at an event last night was a file called “Bullestorm Remaster.”
Inside that folder were some screenshots of the unannounced game, along with a slide that states the title will launch in spring 2017 for unspecified platforms. Polish developer People Can Fly, which made the EA-published original, is listed as the developer and publisher for the remaster.
Bulletstorm was originally released in 2011 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. As of yet, no mention has been made of any platforms for the remaster. Click through the images in the gallery above to see the remaster screenshots.
GameSpot has followed up with Microsoft in an attempt to get more details on the Bulletstorm remaster.
In June 2015, People Can Fly regained its independence from Epic Games. As part of the deal, it maintained ownership of the Bulletstorm IP, which it developed for EA as part of Epic Games.
