In spite of promising a total of 5 mobile games by March 2017, Nintendo now says it will only have a total of 4 ready.
In an interview with Time today, Shigeru Miyamoto said Nintendo doesn’t know if “there will end up being all five of them,” after all.
Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima stated there would be 5 games coming out of the Nintendo partnership with DeNA in October last year,
Miyamoto told Time while the plan has been to release 5 games all along, “market conditions and the development process for each title” has removed one unknown game from the release schedule. The newly announced Super Mario Run is one of the 5 games Nintendo originally referenced.
