Shu, the side-scrolling platformer first announced in 2013, will release on October 4 for PlayStation 4 and PC, co- developer Coatsink announced today. The PlayStation Vita version of the game is also set to release before the end of the year.
The mix of traditional 2D platformers and endless runners features Shu as the protagonist and a group of other characters following along must race their way up a mountain while trailed by a horrific storm.

Shu is co-developed by Coatsink Software and Secret Lunch. IGN recorded our impressions while playing in 2013 and then went hands-on with the game again several months before the game was announced for PlayStation platforms in 2014. Shu was also originally slated to release on PS3. IGN also imagined what Shu would be like if it starred Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida.
