Cuphead Delayed to 2017

Cuphead, Studio MDHR’s side-scroller with a 1930s cartoon aesthetic, has been delayed to a mid-2017 release on Xbox One, Steam, and Windows 10.

The studio revealed the delay in a new blog post, saying that “throughout this year we discussed reducing the scope to make a 2016 release, but we made the difficult decision to delay the launch in order to ship with our vision intact.”

Cuphead was first revealed at E3 2014 as a part of a host of indie titles being developed for Xbox One, and was later given a 2016 launch window at E3 2015. Originally showcased as a boss-rush game, platforming gameplay was revealed for the upcoming title earlier this year.
