One of Destiny’s most successful clans, Redeem, has been deprived of a world-first record following an in-game issue.
The clan was competing in Rise of Iron’s new Hard Mode Raid when, at around the 24:04 mark in the video below, in the Death Zamboni encounter, the team met a bitter end.
As Eurogamer reports, one player ran ahead and inadvertently crossed an invisible barrier. This then caused the game to think the team were cheating, which resulted in a clan-wide wipe. Redeem respawned, but were sent back to replay the previous encounter they’d already completed, adding about six minutes onto their run. This extra time, despite not seeming like much, meant chances of completing the raid first were out the window.
