[UPDATE] Microsoft has confirmed that this offer is available at a number of retailers. In addition to Best Buy, Amazon, Target, Walmart, GameStop, and the Microsoft Store are participating.
The original story is below.
Starting today, November 4, you can get a free game of your choosing ($60 or less) with the purchase of any new Xbox One console. The timing of the deal is particularly noteworthy, as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare arrives today and is eligible for this deal. If you pick up the $300 500 GB Battlefield 1 Xbox One bundle, that means you’re getting two of this year’s biggest shooters for essentially nothing extra.
The fine print says this deal does not work on pre-owned games and consoles, while preorder games are also excluded. The deal runs November 4 through November 12
Across the console fence, people who pick up a new PlayStation 4 starting today can get a free copy of Infinite Warfare as well.
frIt’s been a positive past few months for the Xbox One, as it’s been the best-selling console in the United States for three months running, spanning July to September. Microsoft even put out a commercial that heralds the Xbox One as the “best-selling console in America.”
