Marvel’s Doctor Strange ruled the weekend again, pulling in $43 million to stay the No. 1 movie at the US box office for a second weekend in a row.
For the November 11-13 weekend, Entertainment Weekly reports that the top five movies at the box office were Doctor Strange ($43 million), Trolls ($35 million), Arrival ($24 million), Almost Christmas ($15.6 million), and Hacksaw Ridge ($10.8 million).
Doctor Strange‘s $43 million second-weekend box office haul is just above projections, as estimates released earlier this week said it could make $40 million-$42 million for the November 11-13 window. The movie had an opening weekend haul of $85 million, meaning box office receipts fell 49 percent.
