The first images from Kingsman: The Golden Circle have been revealed. The sequel to the 2014 spy action comedy is due in theaters in September, and these first images shows returning stars Taron Egerton and Mark Strong, with new cast members Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, and Jeff Bridges. These pictures follow the official poster, which was released last month.
Egerton spoke to EW about the new film, and explained that it was much more of an ensemble movie than the original. “For the first one, I felt like if I wasn’t really good then it wouldn’t work,” he said. “This time, the story still unfolds through my eyes but this is still a true ensemble piece. And also, I’ve had a bit more experience. I’m not asking the crew what every piece of camera equipment does.”
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is directed by Matthew Vaughn. The cast also includes Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, and Elton John, who the director states is playing a “Vaughn-ized” version of himself.
The first movie, also directed by Vaughn, was one of 2014’s biggest surprise hits, making $414 million worldwide.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters on September 29, 2017.
