La La Land director Damien Chazelle is developing a drama series for Apple.
Variety reports Apple has given a straight-to-series order for the untitled project. Plot details are being kept under wraps for now. Chazelle will write and direct every episode and will also serve as executive producer.
La La Land producers Jordan Horowitz and Fred Berger will executive produce along with MRC, the studio behind Ozark and House of Cards. No further details, including a premiere date and casting, have been revealed.
Chazelle is also executive producing and directing multiple episodes of a series for Netflix, the Parisian-set musical drama The Eddy. In addition, he’s in production on his next movie, First Man, which stars Ryan Gosling and Claire Foy, and opens in theaters later this year.
