The atmospheric Metroidvania Hollow Knight has sold over a quarter of a million copies on the Switch in its first two weeks.
Developer Team Cherry revealed the number to IGN, and says the team is currently working on a patch to address bugs in the launch build.
In an interview with Waypoint, Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime said that “Hollow Knight on Switch is doing exceptionally well,” and now Team Cherry has shared exactly how well the title has been doing.
Hollow Knight was originally released on the PC in February 2017 after being revealed on Kickstarter and reaching its initial funding goal in 2014. It was subsequently released on macOS and Linux, but has found a natural home on the hybrid Nintendo Switch.
