Epic Games has released an update for Fortnite that is intended to address the unintended breast jiggle physics that appeared after the Season 6 launch. According to the developer, the update contains fixes for “item and animation issues,” but Nintendo Switch players are reporting that it has also made the game unplayable for them.
[Update: An Epic Games representative has said the issue has now been resolved.]
The responses to Epic’s Twitter post about the patch are filled with Switch owners who are saying they’re caught in a loop. When attempting to launch the game they are informed that an update is required before they can play. However, when following the instructions to update the game, they are told Fortnite is on its latest version, and thus does not need to be updated. Users on the official Fortnite subreddit have also reported the same issue.
As of yet, Epic Games has not yet publicly confirmed that they are aware of the issue, and it’s unclear when a fix will be deployed.
Fortnite Season 6 launched on September 27 and it was quite a significant update. A new season means a new Battle Pass and, as such, there are a bunch of new cosmetics to unlock. These include several new skins, such as the Dire Werewolf and Calamity skins, both of which evolve and progressively look cooler. Of course, there’s seven new weekly challenges, as well as a new consumables called Shadow Stones. This item allows players become invisible or phase through solid objects when you use them, and they’re found in the game’s new corrupted areas.
You can see all of the new skins and cosmetics in our Season 6 rewards gallery, and if you need a hand with unlocking them, you can also find guides on how to complete Fortnite’s latest challenges in our Season 6 challenge roundup.
