DC Reportedly Shuts Down Swamp Thing, Cuts Season 1 Short

James Wan’s upcoming Swamp Thing will reportedly shut down production on Season 1 after episode 10 completes filming, prior to its previously announced run of 13 episodes, according to local North Carolina newspaper the Wilmington Star News (where production is taking place).

A source reportedly told the Star News that, “the reason given to crew for the abrupt end of filming was so Warner Bros. could evaluate the future of its DC Universe streaming platform,” which sources tell IGN is not the case, and that creative decisions regarding Swamp Thing are unrelated to the platform’s performance. The show is still scheduled to debut on DC Universe on May 31 as planned.
